Grand Lake Adds Seasonal Levels in Amended Order

On August 10, 2026, the Presque Isle County Circuit Court reviewed a petition to amend the lake level order for Grand Lake to establish seasonal levels. The normal legal lake level of Grand Lake is 593.69 feet NAVD88. The seasonal level is 593.19 feet NAVD88, or as low as 593.02 feet NAVD88. The lower level will be effective from October 15, or up to November 1 if the County demonstrates and EGLE agrees that the level will not cause adverse environmental impacts pursuant to Rule 281.815(h).
