Grand Lake Adds Seasonal Levels in Amended Order

On August 31, 2026, the Circuit Court entered an amended lake level order allowing Grand Lake to be lowered seasonally each year. In the summer, the lake will continue to be maintained at its previously established legal lake level of 593.69 feet NAVD88. In the winter, the lake will be lowered 6 inches to 593.19 feet NAVD88. The order directs Presque Isle County to begin the lowering/drawdown on or about October 1 each year to achieve the lower level by October 15. You can read the full lake level order below.
